Aka “Buh-bye Peter”.  Why is it that he always made Sarah do all these damn climbing challenges?  He couldn’t take a turn just once?  Idiot.  At least now I know what the “recently” dating caption under their names meant.  Thank god Sarah dumped him – I hope her next boyfriend isn’t such a jackass.

The blondes once again show their lack of smarts in messing with the Alabama single moms.  Find your own Kuwaiti to get directions – don’t bogart someone elses!  And the Cho brothers – I think I’m in love.  I was so, so pleased how they worked with Kentucky to get them the fast forward.  And that they weren’t eliminated after that – the icing on the cake!

Now, if we can just get rid of the blondes, and the other dating couple, this would be an enjoyable show.

amazing race update 10/15

Monday, October 16th, 2006

A bit of a lackluster episode last night, or is that just me?  That pattern design thing looked way to complicated…I would have gone with the crocodiles.  And the driving challenge didn’t seem…well, that challenging, considering how quickly everyone was able to do it.  I was happy to see it was a non elimination round – David and Mary are the kind of people I want to succeed.  I teared up a bit when he was talking about how the money would help his family.  He’s a coal miner, and that is tough, risky work.  She’s a SAHM, raising her kids.  With a million dollars, their kids would have a much better life than what their parents had – college, trips – the chance to not be a coal miner – the chance to do anything you want.

With that said, I wonder why The Amazing Race changed the way the non-elimination round is done?  Instead of taking all their money and possessions, they have a 30 minute check-in delay on the next episode.  I think I liked it better the other way – I’m sure the Alabama moms and the Cho brothers would have given David and Mary some money to help them out.

And who else thinks Peter got dumped as soon as this show was done filming?  He is SUCH an ass!  I knew it when he made Sarah do that rock climbing challenge last week, and his actions just cemented things for me this week.  On another note, the shoes Sarah is wearing are the Saucony Triumphs – the same shoes I wore in the 3day walk!

need an amazing race update!

Once again, football has screwed with my DVR. It caused 60 minutes to run late, so my DVR stopped recording The Amazing Race JUST at the last minute. I’m not sure who got eliminated – the blondies, or TNT. (I’m really hoping it’s the blondies, because I am so sick of those girls pushing their way to the front of lines and boats. Grrr!) So someone, clue me in!

I’m going to go get caught up on the rest of my viewing. I need to chill out after such a physically exhausting weekend, and TV is the way to do it for me!

tar tonight – who got the boot?

ARGH! My DVR ended up recording some of 60 Minutes (I guess it ran long?) and didn’t finish recording The Amazing Race, so I didn’t get to see anything past when the single moms were trying to get their car started after the road block. Can someone tell me what happened after that, and who (if anyone) got eliminated?

damnit, I need a TIVO

Thursday, October 13th, 2005

I’m not watching My Name Is Earl because I keep hoping The Amazing Race – Family Edition won’t suck as bad as it did the week before. I should just give up on it already. And tonight I have a meeting at church at 7pm, so by the time I get home, and drop my babysitter off at her house, I’m going to miss most of Survivor. I am missing hours of quality TV by not having a Tivo. Poor me.
