The man and I enjoyed a few days off together earlier this week, and we had a delightful time. Among our activities:
- A day with the kids at Busch Gardens (by coincidence, the same day as our wedding anniversary, so we popped into the Crown Colony for a special anniversary lunch!)
- Lunch out at a small cafe in town I’ve been drying to try since we moved here – and we weren’t disappointed!
- A trip to the nail salon – a pedicure for Jim, a manicure for me!
- Lunch out AGAIN at Ruby Tuesday and a trip to the salon where I got my hair cut and colored and Jim got a trim
I’ll make a metrosexual out of the man yet!
Congratulations on your anniversary.
Sounds like you have a husband who is very supportive of your city adventures.
Perhaps the two of you can serve as a model for the rest of us in terms of how to enjoy just being together no matter where, no matter when.
My wife enjoys the same activities with me. Brave man however for braving the pedicure! I see you stopped before the final step:
Dressing him up with the latest lines from Banana Republic!
Metrosexual..it seems every year we have new meanings for our dictionary. Happy late anniversary to you. We are celebrating over 30 years this year…kind of a rarity these days. You have a great blog Colleen I enjoyed reading it. Cheers from Canada
My husband would NEVER get a manicure or pedicure. Heck, I can’t even talk him into a massage! I guess I should feel lucky – he doesn’t like anyone else touching his skin, but boy is he missing out!
