I’m a huge fan of The Office. One of my FAVORITE episodes is where Andy creates his own ring tone for his cell phone, and then calls himself to show it off. It’s hilarious – and he annoys everyone in the office with the ring tone, that Jim finally hides his phone in the ceiling and proceeds to call it. Repeatedly.
Andy wasn’t much of a musician, but there are lot of talented people out there who are creating new music everyday. Music.com is a site created to help new artists make some noise (pun intended!) about their music – getting buzz going, promoting themselves, uploading, and selling music. And, now artists can create and upload ring tones, just like Andy did on The Office. When you register on Music.com you have the ability to sell your own music, and set your own prices. You don’t pay any set up fees, or monthly fees to sell your music, and, if you’re good enough, you may even be selected for additional marketing and promos.

Years ago, you might be discovered while playing in a club, or a small local bar. Now it’s as easy as uploading your songs to the internet and waiting for fame to find you.
That was a great episode of the Office! I cracked up! (Sidenote: I always used to say I didn’t like the office… but everytime you post about it, I’m here saying “That was great!” I guess I’ll have to switch to saying, I don’t make it a point to watch every week.)
