This morning, FedEx came knocking at my door, with a box from FTD.com.  Flowers….for me?  Who could they be from?  My husband?  Probably not, since he already brought home roses this week for me.  Ted Murphy?  I think he prefers to give me cash.  I tore into the box, hoping to find a card.  Inside was a beautiful arrangement of flowers in every shade of pink I can imagine, and a pink vase to put them in.  But no card.  Finally it came to me - check the packing slip on the outside of the box, stupid!  I found the card, and it was a note from my friend Melissa, her husband, and her daughter, congratulating me on my 3day walk.  Completely unexpected, and it was such a nice surprise!  And it’s nice to have someone realize what a big event I took on – a lot of people who didn’t walk don’t realize what a committment it is to fundraise and walk – your life is changed.  I think she gets it    *Note, this was not a paid advertisement for FTD, but the flowers are lovely, despite not being paid to say so!
