My grandfather died of pancreatic cancer and it was horrible, being a witness to his pain suffering. And, I can only imagine how it feels to be brought to your knees by this disease. I saw his interview with Barbara Walters months ago and what a wonderful man. What a way to go courageously into the face of his illness and say it will not get the best of me today. This type cancer could be termed the silent killer. I have a friend that her husband died 2 months after being diagnosed. Just this week, a classmate has died and in January his brother, both from pancreatic cancer. Thanks for your post and your willingness to walk for breast cancer. Colleen, you are so right.
