Did I tell you how I got to see Cher sing in concert when I was in Las Vegas last year? I didn’t? Well, it happened when we were at the roulette table in our hotel, Imperial Palace. One minute a Michael Jackson lookalike (pre-surgery, thankfully) was singing about Billy Jean, and the next thing I knew, a Cher impersonator was crooning about turning back time. Ok, ok, it wasn’t the real Cher, but it was the next best thing. I would LOVE to see her in person for real - I think she’s amazing! If you want to get me an early birthday gift, Cher tickets at Ceasar’s Palace would be very acceptable. She’s replacing Celine Dion at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, and her show will begin in just two months.

Cher has had such an amazing career, from her days with Sonny on the Sonny & Cher show, to her movies and recent albums. The first movie I saw her in was Mask, and I loved it. Another favorite of mine was Mermaids with Cher and Wynona Ryder. And ooh, remember when she appeared as herself on Will & Grace? The character of Jack had a huge thing for Cher, and even did a Cher impression, and she came on the show to poke a little fun at herself.

The show will be amazing, no doubt. Cher has always had great showmanship and costumes and sets. I wonder if she’s going to team up with Bob Mackie for any of her costumes?
