How great was it to finally see progress in the How I Met Your Mother storyline last night? We finally saw the “mother”…or at least her yellow umbrella. I’ll admit to being bored by the Lily and Marshall subplot with the crooked apartment last night, although the Confederate ghost was a nice touch. Those two just aren’t my favorite characters.

Ted and Barney out on the town for St. Patrick’s Day though, that’s another story entirely. Barney is definitely the break out character in this series, with his penchant for the phrase “awesome” and his proclamations of “Suit up!” to his friends. Neil Patrick Harris steals the show, and has made up for his time on Doogie Howser, M.D. several times over.
