It’s a little routine of mine to press the snooze button on my alarm about 13 times before I actually get up on mornings I need to commute to my office. It annoys the hell out of Jim, but it pleases me, and so I continue to do it. Getting that extra ten minutes over and over again allows me to wake up slowly, and it lets me feel like I’m getting over on The Man by waking up at the very last minute possible.
Of course, waking up at the last minute leaves me with zero minutes to do all of the things I need to do, so from time to time, I skip a step in the morning. Perhaps I bribe one of the kids to let the dogs out, instead of doing it myself, or I select clothing that doesn’t need to be ironed, or I’ve even been known to shower but not wash my hair. That frees up a bit of time since I don’t need to blow dry my (very) thick hair, but I still need to do something with it to get rid of that “just rolled out of bed” look. What if shampoo could do that for me?
I know, I know, I’m talking about NOT washing my hair, and I bring up shampoo – but what if it were dry shampoo – no H2O required? Spray powder shampoo has been around on and off for years, but the product has greatly improved since you’ve last seen it. There are special color formulas made for brunette, blonde, black, or silver hair (sorry, redheads!) and the dry shampoo gives you a way to get that clean hair feeling without the hassle of water. The dry shampoo brushes off easily, so as not to make you look like you’ve got dandruff, and gives you clean and shiny hair without blow drying!
This would be so handy to keep around the house for occasional use, or even trips! What would happen if we got delayed on our trip next week? After a night of sleeping in the airport, I could shave my legs in the bathroom sink and use dry shampoo on my hair!
