If you’ve been reading my blog for any length of time, you know that our big family vacation for 2007 was a trip to Canada. It was our first time there, and we made the most of our week and a half off. We spent three days in Toronto, three days in Montreal, and wrapped up our time with a two night stay in Niagara Falls. I had heard a lot about the falls (you’d have to be living under a rock to not know about them!) but I have to say – I was more than pleasantly surprised by the town. Sure, there’s a bit of a tourist trap feel to it, with the carnival rides and fun houses, but the park along the falls is beautiful, as are the falls. Without sounding too terribly trite, the view is amazing, and breath taking, and awe inspiring – all at once!

One of the things we did that made our trip fantastic was a guided tour of some of the best sites to see in Niagara Falls. We enjoyed a a cruise on the Maid of the Mist, a journey behind the falls, the view from Table Rock, a trip to see the whirlpools, and we ended our day with a ride to the top of the Skylon Tower for a birds eye view. Being led around by an expert on the area made our day that much easier. We didn’t have to worry about parking at the various sites, or navigating around town, and we learned a lot about the history of the falls. When you sign up for the Trusted Travel eNewsletter you can learn about tours like the one we took in Niagara Falls, or tours in any of the many other cities that Trusted Tours operates in. If you only have a short time to spend in a city, this is the best way to see the highlights. If you’ve got an unlimited amount of time, this is a great way to get a feel for the city before exploring on your own!

Oh, and there’s a perk for signing up for that newsletter…all new subscribers will be automatically entered into a drawing for an iPod Nano!

I went to Niagara Falls in 2006. It was great! I hope to go there once again. Memorable experience for me.
