My sister calls herself a “dog mom”. What does that mean? Since she doesn’t have kids, she’s mom to her dog, who happens to be an 8 year old Basenji named Snoopy. For those of you not in the know, a Basenji is an African barkless hound that typically weighs between 20-25 pounds. Their size, combined with the fact that they don’t bark (they make a yodeling noise instead) makes this the perfect dog for apartment dwellers and people with close neighbors.

My sister takes her dog mom responsibility quite seriously.
