Right this minute, I’m uploading my Las Vegas / PostieCon pics. Sure, I’ll be the last blogger who attended to share my pictures and stories, but you’ve been saving the best for last, right? If I don’t get it done before Thursday, the 4 day weekend will get away from me…like this weekend did!
And speaking of this weekend, I say it “got away from me”, but it really didn’t. We were quite productive around the house. We’ve lived here 1 1/2 years, and I finally organized the computer area upstairs. We paid our builder to do what they call a tech center in the loft after upstairs, so they installed upper and lower cabinets and a huge desk for the kid’s computer. It’s been unused since we moved in, and enough was enough. I tossed a ton of old scrapbooking and stamping supplies I wasn’t using, and made good use of those cabinets by putting the kids books and board games into them. I also cleaned out my den, and between those two areas, I filled 3 trash bags full of junk, and made two boxes up for Goodwill. Go me!
Stanley Steemer came to do our carpets on Saturday afternoon, so I spent about an hour vacuuming every square inch of the carpet with my Dyson. It was well worth it, because the carpets look AMAZING now. Every little spot and stain is gone. Saturday night, we were joined by our neighborhood friends and their children, as well as my 3-day walk team mate Tara and her daughter. Our girls seemed to get along right off the bat – yay! The menfolk watched college football while the mommy people downed some wine and toasted our toes outside by the fire pit.
With all that I did on Saturday, I felt perfectly within my rights to sleep until noon on Sunday. I stayed in my jammies until 5pm!

Thanks for having us over! We had a GREAT time! And I’m also very glad that the girls got along so well. We’ll have to get all three families together soon.
BTW, what happened to going to church yesterday morning? LOL! I went home and worked on my actuarial projects. I finished one and got through most of the 2nd. YAY me!
