My son dressed up as a girl once, when he was about 9 or 10, complete with pearls and makeup. He looked so good, his buddies at school didn't even recognize him. It was a smashing success and it didn't turn him into a raging neurotic.

I feel worst for the kid in the giant clogs. Lederhosen are never a good move at any age.

The kid in the dress... wow... If my almost three year old niece doesn't do a 180 in interests in the next few years, I'll be jealous of this boy's family getting a pretty girl girl for Halloween

Why would anyone dress there kid as that Dr Phil quack?! That should qualify as cruel and unusual punishment. Poor kid.

The dress thing is a bit weird. Definitely not one I have to worry about in my house full of ninjas, warlocks, and wolf men.

Call me crazy, but I just don't see anything wrong with any of the costumes. Its a costume.. right? Its not as if these kids dress this way every day. Its the one day a year where they can really let loose, ya know?
I let my kids pick their own costumes. Of course I steer them a little in whats acceptable (for example, my 9 year old daughter would never wear a midriff bare costume with fishnets.) And people think my husband and I are nuts for wanting to dress two of our boys as Jay and Silent Bob one year (we didn't because the boys were inisistent on the super hero theme, despite our pleading)

I know kids will be kids, but I raise mine to not pick on others - for any reason. If the kid in the dress is getting picked on by others, its certainly not that he wore a princess dress on Halloween but rather the lack of proper parenting skills of the parents of children doing the picking.

Dr. Phil is just great!! Yeah, even with a blacked out face, the lederhosen kid looks a little verklempt.
And the fairy dress on the boy? uh, no. You're are definitely right on that one... until he's much older, you just can't pull that one off.
