I’ve been putting the pressure on my kids to pick a Halloween costume, and pick it quick! My youngest is still set on being Captain Jack Sparrow. I was really concerned that he’d change his mind a few more times, but he hasn’t. Once I buy the costume, he’s out of luck. And my oldest…she said she wanted to be a boy for Halloween. Uhh…what? If I can’t buy it online, or in ONE store, I’m not doing it. “Boy” sounds like multiple trips to the thrift stores and lots of imagination. I’m too tired for that. (What a mean mom I am!)
I like fun Halloween costumes, but I also like for them to not involve a lot of work on my part. There’s a Halloween Express by my office, and they’ve got the deluxe Captain Jack costume I’ve been looking for, and it’s less than $40. Score! I’ve seen them used on eBay for that much, so I’m so pleased I finally found a new one for that price. I’d love to take Catherine in there to look around to see if she can find a costume she feels inspired by. I came across these cute breakfast cereal costumes featuring the Lucky Charms leprechaun and the Count Chocula and Franken-Berry. HA! I’ve never seen anything like that before, but I love it! Wonder if she would like those? I know my cereal freak sister would!
He’s magically delicious:
