I’m making slow by steady progress on the back to school front. I’ve actually talked to someone at one of the universities here in Tampa, and I was pleasantly surprised. I’m still playing phone tag with someone at the smaller college, but I don’t think that option will work. They don’t offer any online classes for the degree I wish to seek, and they cost 3 times as much as the other school. I’ve also been seeking out information on schools that offer online degrees in the subject area I’m interested in, and it’s amazing how many schools allow you to attend and get a degree entirely online. When I first went to college, online classes didn’t even exist! What a difference, huh? In fact, there are schools, like Everest College Online, which really cater to students out of their area by offering an entire online program. They actively seek out people like me who can’t commit to going to a traditional classroom environment, and I can see why it works. With people going back to school at a later age, it’s so important to be able to fit college into your home and work life, and when it’s an online degree, you can do it so easily.
