Jim and I are trying to plan out some purchases for next year. We like to look a few months ahead and see what money is coming in, and try to hold off on big purchases until we’ve got the cash to pay for things, rather than charging them. New bedroom furniture for Grace is on our radar, and I’d like to buy a new bedroom set for Matthew as well. The only trouble is that none of the retailers around here change out their stock very often. We bought new bedroom furniture for our oldest months and months ago, and I got a flyer this weekend in the paper from that store. They’re still advertising the same exact sets they had a few months ago. I didn’t like them then, and I don’t like them now!
So, if I can’t find what I want locally, I’m turning to the internet. There are all sorts of online furniture stores offering alternatives to what you can find locally. There’s a huge market for discount bedroom furniture that doesn’t look cheap, so why shouldn’t online stores get a piece of the pie? I came across this site selling Hillsdale furniture and I love the look of the white wrought iron beds. That would be darling in Gracie’s room, especially with some coordinating wood pieces. And for under $300? That’s a no brainer!

Furniture? You spoil those kids! Orange crates and two-by-fours. It was good enough for me, it’s good enough for them!
