Tonight was lovely, and I’m not just saying that because I’m tipsy on Arbor Mist.
I was invited over to a friend’s house in the ‘hood for one of those home party things, where ladies gather to eat, drink, and spend money buying products out of a catalog. I dragged another friend from the neighborhood over there with me, and she left her kids and husband at my house to have a playdate with MY kids and my husband.
Once we wrapped things up at the party, we walked back down the street to my house, cracked open a bottle of wine, and sat on my lanai and ignored the children and the men. We talked about work, our kids, the party we had just attended…and drank a lot of wine. I love having friends in my neighborhood - they make up for the crazy people that live here.
This is my very public plea for my friend Gigi to NOT move from our neighborhood. I need you to buy a house here and stay for a while. Pretty please?
