I really miss hearing my grandfather clock chime. It used to belong to Jim’s grandmother, and when she passed away, we were asked what we’d like from her house. The clock was at the top of our list – actually, it was the only thing we wanted. For the first few years we had it, it chimed, and once we moved, the inner workings got moved and I think we need a clock doctor to come wind it up and get it running again. I think our clock looks a bit like the Hermle grandfather clocks shown here. My clock, like those, is classic looking, and very traditional. I’d love to hear it chiming every quarter hour again!
