This weekend I went with my husband to his reunion. It was his 20th, and he skipped his 10 year, so this was the first time he had seen a lot of these people since graduating. We didn’t go alone though – we met his friends there, some of whom he’s known since middle school. I’ve got to say – if you have to go to your husband’s reunion, going with a group of 5 guys who will buy you drinks and say nice things to you all night is a good way to go. There were none of those awkward moments where I felt alone in a sea of Gulf High class of 1987 graduates, since I always had at least one of the boys to talk to. I told them they all need to come to MY 20th reunion in a few years so I have as much fun as I did this weekend.

Anyway…the reunion was held in Clearwater Beach. I hadn’t been there in a while, and was surprised to see some of the old hotels being torn down. We weren’t on the strip 2 minutes when we saw a hooker get into a car. Nice! Our hotel was thankfully located over the bridge on Sand Key, so it was a nicer part of town. Jim and I got down there around 7-ish in Friday and checked in, and dressed to head to Shephard’s Beach Resort for the informal meet n’ greet. We had a private room upstairs and appetizers, and after 11pm, we went outside to the deck to continue the party with more dancing and drinking. Woot! Sometime around 1am I sent Sindy a drunken text from the bathroom. Good times, good times.

Here are the boys – James, Jamie, Jim (mine), and Ed (not as drunk as he looks):

Here’s Steve, who definitely was as drunk as he looked here:
