When I turned 10, my parents sent me flowers and a card that said, “Happy 1st Decade”. I thought it was neat to get flowers deliveredto me at the ripe old age of 10, so I decided to continue that tradition with my own daughters. In 2005, it was Catherine’s turn to get flowers, and she actually received two deliveries that day - one from my mom, and one from us.
With Gracie’s 10th birthday in just a few weeks (August 28th) it’s once again time to plan for a floral delivery. I just found a great arrangement of flowers online called the August Birthday Bouquet, and it contains red lilies, yellow lilies, orange lilies, and blue iris. (I love blue iris - they grew wild in my backyard growing up and you rarely seem them in traditional floral arrangements. I also found a little pot with a miniature rose plant inside, and that arrangement comes with a stuffed Birthday Bear. Gracie is still very much into stuffed animals (Jim calls them her “guys”) and she’d definitely appreciate a Birthday Bear. However, I think my favorite, and the one Gracie would like the most was called The Ultimate Birthday Bouquet - roses in various colors, a bear, a balloon, AND chocolate.
