I’ve mentioned here before that I’ve been DVR-ing Pirate Master, but I haven’t watched an entire episode in weeks. I find myself fast forwarding through the most recent episodes just to see the results of the challenges, and who is voted off.

When I was watching the full episodes though, early in the series, Cheryl Kosewicz was one person that caught my eye. You may remember her – she was a member of Joe Don’s crew while he was captain, and unlike most of the other women on the show, seemed to be confident, competitive, and not a whiner. Cheryl worked as a district attorney in Nevada, and had a very no nonsense attitude about the game. Unfortunately, the others saw Cheryl as a threat and she was cut adrift on the 4th episode.

Even more unfortunate is that Cheryl Kosewicz was found dead in her Nevada home last week from an apparent suicide. 2 months ago, Cheryl’s boyfriend, Ryan O’Neil took his own life, so I’m sure that the families and friends of the couple are in shock now. The MySpace page of Cheryl Kosewicz has been swamped with comments from people since the news broke, but I was more interested to see what Cheryl had wrote, if anything, before her death.

According to MySpace, Cheryl last logged in on 7/26/07 (her body was found the next day) and her MySpace mood is set to “crushed”. Obviously, she was in a lot of pain after her boyfriend’s death and didn’t see any other way out.
