Some of my regular readers have known me for 10 years now, and they knew me when I owned a website for moms. At that time, one of the ways that I promoted the site was by attending trade shows and expos where moms would be in attendance. When I look back now - wow, I was a complete trade show noob, showing up with my folding table and nifty banner and free pens and keychains. Trade show displays have come a long way, baby! I love the nifty 3-D pieces you can hang above your space, and the racks for literature. Sure does free up a lot of table space when you use things like that, which is great when you’re in a tight spot, and you can get items shipped to you same day - personalized even!
Raise your hand if you have one of the t-shirts from my old website!

It was great to read you started out working trade shows to become successful. I work a day job and blog by night as we started my grandma site in January and only started blogging three months ago. Thanks for the inspiration that if I continue I will be successful, like you in building links and creating traffic….
I’m smiling, as we are not alone, there are a lot of us determined to succed.

I am jealous that I don’t have a t-shirt! LOL I remember doing craft shows years ago and having our little folding tables and dollar store boxes to prop things up on. The things you can do now at shows like this are totally amazing, and fast set up for a lot of them too. I’ve seen ladies that just whip these things out of bags and unfold them and add this, twist that, and ta-da it’s a little mini store window.
Maybe I should ask a few more tips from you regarding trade shows. My brother’s planning to organize one for his business. Can you please help me? Thanks!
