Another month, another contest, here and at my other blog, GeekySpeaky. (Be sure to check out the geeky prizes there too!) The good news for you is that you can enter BOTH contests, and even win both, if you’re the lucky person selected at random. Each contest has the same rules and guidelines, but completely different prizes, which will get bigger and better as the months go on, so even if you don’t win this month, come back next month and play again! The contest is open to any resident of any country. More info on that down below in the rules section.

This month we have 2 prizes. The grand prize for July is:

So you’re wondering how to enter, right? Read on!

Leave a comment: If you leave a comment on the contest post each month (FYI, this is the contest post for July) you get ONE entry into the drawing. The comment can’t be a generic “Hi”, or “Nice idea”, or “Pick me”. You’ve got to say WHY you want to win.

Blog it: You don’t need to be a blogger to enter, but read on if you are! If you blog about the contest, and link to the contest post (again, that would be this post right here, but it will change each month) you get THREE entries into the drawing.

• Just like when you leave a comment, your blog entry should be about why you want to win, it should direct others here to show them how they can win, and it should link to the contest post for that month.
• In order to submit your blog posting so that I know you get an extra three entries into the drawing, you need to EMAIL the link to me at colleen_ccATyahooDOTcom
• If you submit your blog posting URL via the comments, it will NOT be placed into the drawing. And then you can’t win. And that makes me sad.
• Please note as well – if you are entering BOTH of my contests by blogging about them, I need a separate email for each contest entry!

MySpace Bulletin: Write about this on your MySpace as a bulletin for all of your friends to read, and get TWO entries into the contest!

• Just like blogging about it, the bulletin should let people know about the contest, and link here to let them enter it.
• In order to submit your MySpace bulletin to get the 2 extra entries into the contest, EMAIL the link to me at colleen_ccATyahooDOTcom – again, please do NOT submit using the blog comments here.
• Please note as well – if you are entering BOTH of my contests by using MySpace, I need a separate email for each contest entry!

Digg it: This entry has been submitted to Digg.com, and if you’re a Digg user, you can Digg It! Digging it gives you ONE entry into the contest. Signing up for Digg is free, so it’s worth your while to join if you aren’t already a member!

Share it: Are you a member of a forum? Well duh, aren’t we all? You’ve got a couple of options here. You can post about the contest at your favorite forum and let your forum friends know how to enter. Please don’t spam a forum though. When in doubt, ask the forum owner for permission. Alternatively, you can place the link to this entry in your forum signature, along with something like “Win the Colleenie Weenie Contest!” Sharing on a forum gives you ONE entry into the contest. Again, email me at colleen_ccATyahooDOTcom if you go with this option so I know!

Create It: Think you’ve got a creative method for sharing the contest that I haven’t come up with? Let me know, and you may just be awarded bonus entries! Email me your ideas at colleen_ccATyahooDOTcom for extra entries!

• LEGAL STUFF: The contest is open to any resident of any country. However, the prizes may not always work for your location. Should that be the case, and you win, I will substitute an Amazon.com (or other similar store) gift certificate for prize value (what I paid for it of course!) instead of that prize, if you prefer. Disclaimer: Contest is open to any resident of any country, except where prohibited by law. Rules and requirements are subject to change. I will never change the prizes, rules, or requirements during an open contest, but would instead announce any changes to be made when the next round started. Fair enough?

The contest runs until the 21st of each month. In the last week of the month, I’ll pick an entry at random from everyone who commented on the contest post or blogged about the contest or put it on their MySpace or Dugg it…whatever! I’m going to need that week to compile entries and see who is getting their name put into the hat multiple times. I’ll post the winner here by the end of each month, along with a link to the winner(s) blogs, if they have one. The prizes on this blog will be completely random – whatever strikes my fancy – and the prizes on GeekySpeaky will be, well, geeky.
