Jim went to the vet and picked up the dogs yesterday from the kennel. I was soooo happy to see them again last night! It just didn’t feel like home without the dogs scampering around at our feet, or seeing Lola curled up in her spot on the couch. I think the dogs are happy to be back too. Jim said they were pretty excited to see him when he got to the vet’s office!

dog stepsAnd speaking of my Lola puppy cups, as I hoisted her into bed last night, I started thinking about getting pet steps for her. (Look – it’s a dachshund in the picture!) She seemed a little unsteady when she jumped up onto the couch last night – probably since she hadn’t done it in over a week. She’s getting older…granted, she’s still young by dachshund standards, as she’s only 6, but her back can’t handle all of the jumping she tries to do. She could seriously damage her back and hips with continued jumping, and I don’t want that to happen. Doggy steps would be easier for her, especially since she already knows how to use stairs. Instead of waiting for ME to pick her up, she can just hop up and wait for me in bed when it’s night time. (Yeah, she’s spoiled!)

I’m loving this set of deluxe pet stairs – the wood would match my bedroom set, and it’s got storage in the steps. I always need extra storage!

Don’t laugh! I have one set for the weiners to get up and down from the bed, and I’m thinking about picking up another for the side of the couch. This is the best thing since sliced bread! And yes, if your baby is already having back trouble, it’ll definitely help!

We were thinking of getting them for Buster for the bed, because with the Lyme Disease, sometimes his legs bother him. I keep wondering if he’ll use them or just look at them. He’s not the smartest dog out there, just full of love….anyway, we haven’t gotten them yet, so I’ll be interested if you get them, how Lola took to them
