Today was just LOADED with family fun. Matthew made his 1st Communion and was a pill for the whole day. He wouldn’t smile for pictures and I was over his attitude by the end of his party. He’s old enough to know that when we have a party (to celebrate HIM of all things) he needs to leave the Playstation off and not even dare to ask me to play. Of course, he was all smiles tonight when we did something on his agenda and saw Spiderman 3.
The party went well, aside from my pill of a son, which was good, considering my father showed up, and that can always go either way. After the majority of the guests left, we watched a hilarious show on Sundance (aka the Independent Film Channel) with Jamie (the godfather) and my sister. It’s called Ladettes to Ladies and it’s a British reality TV show that’s sort of doing this My Fair Lady thing. The girls are these pub crawling, raunchy little things, and the show is attempting to make them over into ladies. Hilarity ensues. Check it out if you get the channel - being that it’s a British show, when the girls flash their boobs, it’s not blurred out, which the guys really enjoyed. I loved the quirky British phrases, like “she’s greedy with the drink”, and one of the girls suggested they play “Bottoms” at the party they were throwing. If you’ve never heard of the game, a man is blindfolded, and the girls line up to have their rears felt up so that the man can match the bottom with the girl.
Charming young lasses, eh?

Mmmm Family fun…..delicous and nutricious! And, mine started at 5pm Friday…so I had a FULL weekends worth! Yeesh.
