Here are my pictures from the Gwen Stefani / Akon concert last night in Tampa. The first act, Lady Sovereign, was eh. Akon was great, especially when he took his shirt off…but the best was Gwen, of course! She took the stage around 9ish and opened with Sweet Escape, and 7 costume changes (Jamie and I had a bet – he said 7, and I said 5) and 90 minutes later, it was over – all too soon!
Oh – Jamie is one of Jim’s friends (since middle school) who went with me since Jim had to work. He’s Matthew’s godfather, so he suffered through Gwen as his good deed for the year 
. We had another bet too – he said Gwen was as old as he was (37) and I thought she was closer to my age (30). I just verified she was born in 1969 on Wikipedia, so Jamie is 2 for 2. Damn!

Rebecca and I were there too! We didn’t stay the entire time — my old lady butt kept falling asleep. Akon WAS good! Lady S. was terrible I think. LOVE Gwen!! Did you see the text message rolls on the screen? The I luv becca was me… haha. Glad you had a good time.
I saw her a while back and her shows are a blast.
