dustyI can’t even remember when I got a cell phone, but it’s been years. I had a pager before that for a few years – I remember my mom giving me one for Christmas when I was 17. How cool was I, making return calls from a pay phone when I got paged? I was so happy when I finally got my cell phone, because it meant I could save my quarters. My first cell phone was a teeny little flip phone with a grey-green screen – no color. When it died, I got a Nokia. When that died, I got a Samsung. When we got rid of that plan, we got our Razrs. When I compare that first cell phone to the one I have now, wow…technology sure has changed!

The cell phone makeover game is a fun way to remind yourself about how far cell phones have come. Dusty is a 1985 Motorola Phone in need of a serious makeover, and you get to be the one to do it. When you choose options like heads, threads, accessories, and ambiance, you’re given a wide range of looks and styles to outfit Dusty with. Some of the selections are pretty clever, like the Alfalfa hairdo, complete with cowlick that I chose. Or the mouth selections – you can choose one with braces or one blowing a bubble with gum!

When you’re done choosing the facial features, move onto threads. I found a pimp hat and decided to use it to cover up that Alfalfa hair – I just can’t resist an animal print hat with a feather in it. And when you move onto accessories, depending on what item you choose, you’ll see Dusty say different things. (I wish there was a way to let him have 2 things, for instance, wear a necklace and hold a dog.) And when you’re done creating your cell phone masterpiece, thereby bringing Dusty up in today’s technology, you can save him to the photo gallery to let other users rank his style, or send him in a special text to speech email to your friends. Either way, you get a 10% off promo code to use on on cell phone devices at YourWirelessSource.com!
