I just stopped in to read your blog, and thanks for posting
about this. I have a bottle that the orthodontist recommended
for my daughter. I'm getting rid of it, and I printed the refund
form to send off.

It is getting scary thinking that so many things have been
recalled lately. Thanks for sharing the info, or I might not have
known about it.

the differences between Agent COOL Blue and regular listerine are varied. But the one variation that would contribute to this "contamination" issue is the manner in which the two products are used. When adults use mouuthwas, we typically pour it into something then drink it, swish, gargle, and spit. The Agent COOL Blue is deigned to allow the kids to fill a receptacle at the top of the bottle then tip it us and swish and spit. I think the micro orgs from the mouth probably stay in that receptacle and grow and multiply.

That's my theory. Although I haven't read that anywhere...yet.

THe irony is that when we purchased Agen COOL Blue for my son a month ago, as soon as I saw that receptacle at the top of the bottle I said to myself, "Hmmm. I wonder what kinda germs grow in there after a bunch of grubby siblings share a bottle of this??" My son doesn't share his Agent COOL Blue and I thoroughly instructed him on how not to backwash. But I shouldv'e gone with my maternal instincts. I'm taking it away and flushing it. And quite frankly, I'm happy to do it because that Agent COOL Blue made a heck of a blue mess all over the sink.

Wow...that's for this notice. I just ran to go check my Listerine mouthwash. Thankfully, I didn't have that kind. It's weird though. There have been so many recalls for many different products this past month. I think companies better clean up their acts and start really paying attention to the minor details of their products.

Oh! I'm glad to read this entry. I had heard something about "Glacier Mint" and "Bubble Blast" on the radio today, but I had no idea what they were talking about - I guess I came in mid-story. Now I know it was mouthwash! Thanks!
