A few years ago, some friends and I took pictures of our day and shared them. We called it “Boring Day Pictures” - original, ain’t it? I’ve decided that it would be fun to start that up again, and do it carnival style so that anyone with a blog can participate. You’re all invited to join the Boring Day Blog Carnival!

First, you’re probably wondering what kind of pictures you need to join in. I’ve put pictures of my boring day 2 years ago in the extended entry below, so click to see those. (They’re reversed because of how Photobucket gave them to me)

You can see that I started taking pictures when I woke up, and documented my entire day in photos. You can take whatever number of pictures you like, but you probably want to use at least 20 to show us your day. Blog them in one entry, with captions letting us know what you’re doing in each. I took pictures of getting the kids up, going to work, my day on the job, driving home, watching TV, eating dinner, etc. It’s a neat way to connect with the people you read daily, and get a peek into their lives, towns, families, and jobs.

To participate, blog your boring day, and then submit your post to the boring day blog carnival. You can use Flickr, Photobucket, or any hosting service you wish. Embed your pictures into your blog entry, or host them offsite at a service like Flickr. It’s up to you. Use captions to give readers an insight into who and what they’re seeing!

The deadline for submission for this edition is 4/19, and I’ll post all of the entries here on 4/20. If you are interested in hosting a future edition, please let me know! And click below to see my example pictures - I don’t have captions for them, but you should in your entry.
