Like most families, we’re on a budget of sorts. With having bought a new house last year, and a lot of new things to go in the new house, we make sure we have the cash on hand to pay the bills before we reward ourselves with new toys, like the new motorcycle. And like all families, we’re always looking for a way to save a few bucks. In the past year, we’ve decided to eat out less, shop sales more, and try not to spend money just for the sake of spending money. Sometimes, it’s easier said than done.
I found a great article online called 101 Ways to Save One Dollar a Week. Now, $1 a week may not sound like much, but if you can combine a few of these ideas, it’ll add up quickly! We’re already following a few of the suggestions on the list, like controlling the thermostat and bundling phone, TV, and internet. There are definitely a few ideas on here we can start adopting as our own though, like the tips to save gas. (I’m so guilty of driving with a lead foot!)
What do you think of the list? Any bright ideas to save money in your own household? Do you see any tips you can use right now?
