I hate it when school homework ends up being mom and dad homework. I hate it more when extra curricular activities send home their own version of homework. We’re supposed to make banners for my son’s upcoming First Communion on a piece of felt. (I thought I lost said piece of felt, until I opened the folder from church and found it in between the schedule and a catalog selling Christian gifts. Oops!)
At any rate, I know this banner isn’t something my son can do on his own. And we don’t exactly have tons of art supplies around the house (I have scrapbooking supplies, but I know most of those won’t work on felt) so I’ll need to make a trip to the store for materials. The genius who thought this project up showed us examples from previous years, and not ONE looked to be made without parental assistance!
