Student loan consolidation is turning into a big business. And really, it makes sense. Most people who head off to college don’t have the money to pay for it out of their checking account. I didn’t take our student loans when I got my A.A. – I went to school part time and worked part time. And it took me 5 years to get a 2 year degree doing it that way. Obviously not ideal.
