Filed Under (Going Places) by Colleen

I was up half the night trying to find a deal on a hotel in London. Every place I found that was reasonable priced had some type of flaw - bad reviews, bad locations, or shared bathrooms. We tried to look up prices at the hotel we stayed at in 1995, but their website said there are no rooms available. Boohoo! I’ve just about exhausted my usual cache of sites that I use to find hotel deals, so I’m searching out other sites…who knew finding hotels in London UK would be such a challege? I headed over to a new site, Hotel Shop UK, thinking maybe I’d have better luck with a site located IN the UK, right? The first thing that impressed me was the listing of cities you can choose from…of course, I’m looking for London, so I picked that. You can sort results by price, hotel name, or hotel rating. One eeny problem for those of us in the states - all the prices are in pounds, so I needed to open a currency converter in another window. The cheapest rooms worked out to be about $150US, which isn’t bad at all. I noticed most of the listings didn’t say if they have private baths or not - and that’s definitely something that should be added.

If we can ever decide if we’re going or not, I’ll be back to book something!
