Last night, Jim showed me exactly how well hung he is. First, we were off to Target for supplies. A few hundred bucks later, we had picture frames that actually matched and coordinated, and I dumped the frames we’ve had for 10+ years. We put up our family picture from our cruise in 2005 up in the dining room, along with a picture of my grandparents from 1991 (Cheryl, if you’re reading this – the humidity made the picture stick to the frame and some of it flaked off. I want to make a copy of your 8 by 10 to replace it) with a family picture of us from 1999 on the other side. We put up the print we bought at Animal Kingdom Lodge, and baby pictures of the kids went upstairs.
Last but not least, we put up “art” in our family room over the couch. And yes, we bought our art at Target. I don’t have the money for legit art. The piece we picked out is a floral print, but what drew me to it were the colors in it – they really went well with the paint and drapery colors in the family room. Picking Paint colors was one of the most stressful things about moving here – I wanted everything to be just perfect, you know? I thought about the colors for each room for MONTHS. I guess all that agonizing paid off though, because I’m really thrilled with how everything has come together.
