Jim still dreams about getting a bike…we came close to buying one a few months back and decided it wasn’t the right time for us. We have a lot of great roads for riding around town, and I get a little pang of jealously every time I see a group of bikers out enjoying the weather on these curvy back roads. I imagine that one of the best parts of biking is being able to get together with friends to enjoy it. There are a ton of bike clubs here – we saw them advertised in just about every store we looked at bikes in. And these aren’t Hells Angels – most bikers are middle class people with enough fun money to have a bike as a 2nd form of transportation. Bike clubs are popping up all over the place – from here in Florida to this West Coast Harley Davidson Community. And until we actually get our own bike, there are forums online where you can meet with other bike owners and enthusiasts. You can even check out motorcycle classifieds and find the perfect bike for sale. (I can see it now – Jim can fly out to California, pick it up, and drive it back!)
