Jim *forgot* to ask his doctor about his snoring issues on his last visit. He’s got another appointment in in March, but that’s not soon enough! We know he’s got a deviated septum, but I seriously think he should go to have a sleep study done so we can make sure that’s all it is. Something ain’t right when someone can fall asleep in 2 minutes flat. Or in mid-sentence. Or at a Bucs game. Or at a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Hopefully he doesn’t need a CPAP machine like these being sold by my sponsor www.CPAPscience.com. Of course, if he DOES need one, at least that means quieter nights would be ahead for me!

(I just want the snoring to END!)

Quiet except for the whirrrrrrring of the machine :)

Actually they aren’t that bad, I had one for a few years but didn’t need it anymore after I got some weight off. They take a bit to get used to but the energy boost and feeling better make up for it. If he has sinus issues I’d DEFINATLY recommend getting the humidifier for it.

My hubby has severe sleep apnea. His sleep doc says it is the worst he has ever seen it. He said it is usually not that bad in thin people. Pfft.

To be honest, I am not sure how he sleeps with that contraption stuck to his face, but I sure as hell sleep a lot better now!!

It is ooooh so sexy too! *giggles*

My hubby has a crazy bad snoring problem that he’s going to the doctor for next week…. finally after much nagging by myself. It’s my birthday present from him -lol-
good luck with the appointment, I hope you get some kind of good news out of it (and a lot less snoring!)

I had sleep aponea. I got my head roto rootered and things are good now. I didn’t want to sleep with one of those machines. The tube would most certainly have been a plaything for the cats. And They already try to kill me in my sleep as it is, I wouldn’t want to make that any easier.

Colleen…don’t let him put it off until March. I had a serious snoring problem, but we just thought it was that — “snoring”. And the symptons you describe — falling asleep in just minutes, or mid sentence, at a computer….driving!!… its beacause if he does have sleep apnea (and it sounds like he does), he is being sleep deprived, even though he “thinks” he is sleeping. It can go way beyond just the annoyance of keeping you awake. My sleep apnea damaged my heart (because it wasn’t getting the proper amount of oxygen when I slept). The CPAPs are an annoyance, but make all the difference in the world. I don’t even lay down without my now … (when I do, my heart does its “funny little dance”). I should have had my snoring problem checked sooner… and actually, it wasn’t detected because of the snoring. It was beause of the heart being out of rhythm, and they finally put 2 and 2 together and realized thats what the cause of it was. Please don’t let him put getting checked off to a later date. Sleep apnea is more than an annoyance…
