I realized this morning that while I did post a picture of our tree, I didn’t post a picture of it once we finished decorating it! I know some people do theme trees, but not us. If anything, our theme could be called “family eclectic”. All of our ornaments have some meaning behind them. We have ornaments that were mine when I was a kid (including the gold Mickey Mouse I’ve had since I was little with my name engraved on it), baby ornaments for my kids, things that the kids made in school – it may look like a mashup to your untrained eyes, but I can tell a story about everything on the tree. When our kids grow up, they’ll get to take their ornaments with them, just like I took mine, to start their own Christmas decorating.

You’ll probably notice there aren’t many presents under there yet! The ones there are for friends…we don’t put our our gifts for the kids this early.
