With my head injury keeping me confined inside to “safer” activities (so I can be close to the Advil), I decided that since the kids are all gone, I’d finish wrapping the gifts. What can happen with a pair of scissors and giftwrap? (Don’t answer that!)

I took off the tree skirt and used the Dyson to suck up all the loose needles, so that I could start putting the gifts for family and friends under the tree. We don’t put anything from the kids out this early, lest they be tempted to shake packages. I’ve got one box full of my stocking stuffers and 2 other totes full of wrapped gifts. I cleared out my cache in the closet and I’m finding things I forgot I even bought! Luckily I also found another package of gift tags, because I ran through my first set of 52 just a few minutes ago. My plan for this afternoon is to wrap, wrap, wrap, watch my DVR’ed episodes of Heroes, and enjoy the quiet. The only thing I don’t plan on wrapping is the electric guitar for Grace – it’s too big for me to handle by myself, so it will have to stay under my bed in until Christmas Eve so I can get some help with it.
