Jim is still friends with a group of guys he’s known since middle school. At one of our last big parties, we actually pulled out his middle school year book, and there they were - all of the boys, in all of their 13 year old glory. Jamie is still the perpetual bachelor - I don’t think he’s ever getting married. Dan is married with 2 kids, Ed is married and expecting his first kid this month, and Kirk is married. Of all of the guys, Kirk definitely has the most exciting life - he lives in Japan! He moved there a few years ago and started teaching English in a school there, and never left. Well, I mean, he has left to come home and visit, but he lives there for good now. He met his wife in Japan too!
So when I saw this new website at http://www.piqniq.jp I immediately thought of him. It’s a new site for families in Japan who are primarily English speaking. It’s designed to be a resource for those who are strangers in a strange land, so to speak. You can use the site to find doctors, activities, babysitters, and schools - all in English. Obviously there are enough people like Kirk to make this a much needed resource!
