Or whatever it is that you believe in…

Why? Because I just dropped off a portfolio for my eldest child to attempt to get her into a magnet school. We lucked out and she got into her current school (also a magnet school) through the lottery this year. Howver, she’s moving to 6th grade, aka middle school next year, so she can’t stay there. We have two choices – the middle school we’re zoned for, or the magnet school, which specializes in math and science. And Catherine is a total math geek. (Not sure where she gets that from?)

The school has 5 times as many applications as they do spots, so we’re needing some good vibes over here. This school would be perfect for her, so we’re really hoping we get good news in a few months. I had to fill out a whole packet to apply – Catherine had to write a student essay about why she wants to go to the school and what kind of community or volunteer activities she’s involved in. I had to write my own essay too, and we had to get a recommendation from her teacher also. We were also able to submit a binder with additional info, so I put in pictures of her science projects for the past 2 years (since the school is a math/science school) and also a letter I wrote about what a neat kid she is.

If she doesn’t get in with the portfolio, they will do a lottery to select more students, so she has 2 chances. Fingers crossed!

Hi Colleen, I ran across the PayPerPost and was very interested in becoming an advertiser. After poking around I saw that you were the most active and I was wondering if I’m not getting something right here?
I see a lot of links on your site and also the Performancing Partners. What is the difference? If you had something to advertise which one would you use?

I’ve got two main lines and don’t know which one would be the best to advertise. And not totally clear on the PPP.

If it’s not too much trouble, would you reply? I would appreciate it.
Thanks
Nicole
