Another couple of hundred dollars spent! Unlike last time, we didn’t get the dentals done, so we escaped for $450. Lola needed all three of her eye meds replaced (she has dry eye) and we bought our lab some doggie downers. Yes, our dog is going on the canine equivalent of Paxil. The older she gets, the more storms and loud noises (like fireworks) bother her. Since storms are a way of life in this state, we’re going to do a trial run on the meds to see if they help her out during those times.
We found another tick on Lola this morning and brought it to the vet in a baggie, and our vet also confirmed we do have a tick problem, and he told us it’s tick season. Hopefully we won’t have this issue in a few months, but for now, we’re using tick collars and Frontline. We also put the doggies back on their heartworm meds. And they got their nails clipped - it was a big morning out for them!
