I just wanted to thank another blogger, Deb, for her donation to my 3day fund. Deb blogs over at SurvivingNJ, and I love reading her blog because of the things she posts about New Jersey. I didn’t grow up there, but my parents and siblings did, so I consider myself a New Jersey girl in a way. I spent many a summer visiting my grandparents in Kearny, Brick, and Toms River, so I love reading Deb’s posts about the local things she’s done. She’s also got lots of links to New Jersey related sites on her blog. Last but not least, Deb was kind enough to donate to my 3day campaign, putting me that much closer towards my $2200 goal. Thanks Deb!
Now that my wedding band has been fixed, I’m moving on and looking at anniversary bands. The way I figure things, Jim got off easy by just having to fix my wedding band, and I’m still owed a nice piece of fine jewelry for our ten year anniversary earlier this year. I want something different though - not the same old thing you see in all of the mall jewelry stores, which is why I really like what I’m seeing at Calvin’s. This ring is absolutely breath-taking. It’s so elegant and unique, it almost could pass for a treasured family heirloom, passed down from your grandmother. I could fall in love all over again seeing that on my finger every day!

I’ve been spoiled. It’s so nice to be able to call him at work and give him a shopping list of items to bring home. I’m out of Coke now, and there’s no one to bring me any. I guess I have to go to the store and get it myself. ::grumble::
Neil Crespi is invading my dreams again. Remember him? I linked to his MySpace? Upon further investigation, he’s a lawyer with Monness, Crespi & Hardt. No clue why I’m dreaming about lawyers I found on MySpace!
Day 1 of my husband being gone for his Vegas trip. Hanging in there so far. Slacking off a bit on my chores, and enjoying total control of the TV and the remote control. Oh, and having the bed all to myself was sweet!
PayPerPost put out the call today for crazy, off the hook videos. This is as crazy as I get - enjoy! You can get paid to make videos like this at PayPerPost.com.
(By the way, FiFi would like to know how much Mr. Ted and Mr. Froogle are willing to pay her? She works under the table. Inset pun here ;-))

I finally investigated my digital camera problem with Kodak this week. They have a neat little interactive diagnostic on their site, so I was able to select my issue (lens won’t stay open) and it told me that it would be $105 to repair my camera. Of course, my camera is just a few months out of the 12 month warranty period. They base the estimate on the problem I submitted, and it doesn’t include shipping or tax. If they fix it for less, then they’ll charge me less of course.
They also offer a digital trade in program. I can choose a factory-reconditioned camera that’s a newer model than mine and send them my old one in trade. Of course, I still have to pay a big chunk of change. For the best camera, they want me to pay $279. Ridiculous, considering the camera they’re sending me in return costs only $299. What’s the point of sending my broken camera in for trade?
I don’t know if there is anyplace locally I could take the camera to be fixed. We bought it from Circuit City, so I plan on calling there to ask them what they recommend. Jim suggested if it was going to cost too much to repair the camera that we just buy a new one - I don’t mind that at all, I just want to make sure I can’t get this one fixed for less than $105 first.

Lose the race, and you lose your ride. The show looks like it’s got some huge potential for drama from some upset losers! And I don’t know about you, but if I know men are going to cry like girls over losing their cars, I’m that much more inclined to watch drag racing clips. This post sponsored by Speedtv.com!
