My digital camera is dead.  I can get it into review mode to look at any pictures I’ve taken, but when I try to put it in photo or video mode, the lens goes right back into the closed position.  Where exactly does one take a digital camera to be repaired?  It’s a Kodak EasyShare DX7440, so I guess I could call them and find out - no doubt they’ll want me to mail it into them for the repairs to be made.  I’m scared of how much they’ll want to charge me too.

Our camera’s buttons just broke too. We’re just going to replace it. I’ve never really heard of repair

with the price of digital cameras these days it might be cheaper to get a new one (I saw a 7 megapixel in one of the sunday paper ads for 119.00)
