I’ve been known to go to the tanning salon once or twice in my life. Don’t tell my mom, ok? We fair skinned Irish folk are supposed to stay out of the sun, and she’d have my head if she knew I was exposing myself to those dangerous UV rays. But sometimes, a girl just needs a tan – like that time I went before a cruise so I wouldn’t be the palest person in a bikini!

Now there’s a smarter way to get that bronze glow – there’s a synthetic hormone called Melanotan, and it’s being called “The Barbie Drug”. And apparently, not only does it make you tan, it uh…arouses you too. Two versions are being tested now – Epitan, in Australia, is testing a form of the drug it hopes will tan without ANY side effects, and of course, the USA is testing one WITH the side effect. You can already buy it online though, and one of the sites selling it is called Melanocorp. I’d like to see some before and after shots of people who used it!
