My DVR screwed up so I had to watch the ending first, and then the beginning. Was there football on that made all my shows run late? Anyway…

Good episode. We’re too the point now where it’s hard to let team members go. Well, maybe Peter and Sarah. She’s still annoying the heck out of me. What’s with the “recently” dating thing under their names? Either they are dating, or they are not, no recently about it. I was sad to see Duke and his daughter go, but it sounds like they really, or rather HE really came to terms with who Lauren is as a person. Hmm…what else…oh, watching Tom & Terry fight with the blondies was hilarious – I’m glad someone called those 2 on their line cutting, but it was pretty funny watching the 2 gay guys bitch out the 2 princesses. I was biting my nails at the end there when the clock was ticking down for Tom & Terry – I’d like to see those two stick around just for the comic relief. Oh, and while I’m on the subject of those two, why is it that only TWO teams out of 9 stopped to pay their respects at the Hanoi Hilton? I really hope it was bad editing on the part of the producers, but I’m inclined to think not. I realize it’s a race (duh) but c’mon – shame on everyone who didn’t stop to pay their respects for the servicemen who gave their lives, or time there.

Football made it run late, so we only caught the first 1/2 hour on the DVR! GRRRRR. So homephobic dad and lesbo daughter got eliminated? I won’t miss them!

My wife and I noticed that too, that only two teams stopped to pay respects. One of the sad things on Amazing Race is that on several of the seasons you can really tell who is respectful of other cultures and who isn’t and that those who aren’t respectful are usually in the majority, which just furthers the stereotype of the boorish American tourist.
