Last night was fun, but I got pooped early. Busch Gardens was PACKED wall to wall with freaks – present company excluded of course. It took us at least an hour to get from the car into the park. We headed for the first haunted house which had a freak show theme and featured clowns with chainsaws. Yeah, I’m scarred for life! After we left that, we were walking through one of the scare zones (a sidewalk where creeps jump out at you, follow you, scream at you, etc) and someone scared the pee out of me, literally, by coming up behind me. Good times with good friends I tell ya. We met up with my friend Teresa (someone I’ve known since middle school, eek!) and her husband and did 3 more haunted houses – the lines were at least an hour long on two of those – it was insane how crowded the park was. On the 3rd haunted house we had to wear 3D glasses, and all of that action sort of gave me a headache. I’m getting too old for such craziness I guess.

I’ve got to hand it to Busch Gardens – they did a good job. What I loved the best were the people hiding in the bushes, or disguised as mulch – they’d pop out at you just when you least expected to have the crap scared out of you!
