Now that we’ve renewed our Disney passes, we plan on going back quite a bit to get our money’s worth. Usually, we stay on site and leave the dogs at home, but that’s becoming quite the pain in the rear. A kennel costs $20 a night, easily, for the 2 dogs, and I feel bd about asking family members to take them in (although my sister did owe us one, because we watched her dog for 10 days this summer!). Once when we stayed at Fort Wilderness we put the dog in the kennel there, but we had to go there twice a day to let her out. If I’m paying for a kennel, I don’t really want to have the hassle of going there to do that, even if it is on-site, I’d rather just take the dog WITH me instead. I’m going to start bookmarking a few of the pet friendly Florida vacation rentals homes and pet friendly hotels to think about for our next trip. The friends we go with ALL have dogs, so all three families always have that to consider, and there are over 15 pet friendly properties in near Disney World in Kissimmee alone! With 6 adults, 6 kids, and 5 dogs, a vacation rental like that sounds like a great idea.![]()
