Friends came over tonight and we all had a delightful evening. The kids played well (for the most part), I cooked, and we ended it all with chocolate cake. It was cool enough that we were able to sit out on the lanai with our feet up, ceiling fans kicking….ah…there’s that Indian summer I’ve been waiting for! (Yes, I know it’s fall now!)

I dug out my Halloween decorations today as well – now we’re sporting a fake light up pumpkin on the front stood, and a scarecrow in front of the house. Speaking of scarecrows, we could have used one at church yesterday. The church has a big glass section on either side of the altar, and during the Mass 2 crows were sitting out on the roof line to the side of us, and one kept flying into the glass. Over, and over, and over again. It kept the kids pretty entertained. I’m not sure what was with the crow, maybe he saw his reflection in the glass? He was really going at it for a while, and each time he hit the glass we wondered if it would be his last!
