Well, the Man just booked his trip to Vegas. He and a few friends are going there the first weekend in November. One of the guys is having his first child right around Christmas, so much like a bachelor party, they’re celebrating his last days of restful nights and no dirty diapers. Time for Jim to start brushing up on his poker strategy - wouldn’t it be nice if he won enough money to pay for his airfare and the hotel? He’s got a lot of practicing to do if that’s the goal, and it most definitely is MY goal! I’m going to email him a link to VegasPokerPro so he can start reading up on how the pros play poker. He could start playing party poker online to practice, but I think his best bet is checking out the poker forum to learn about specific Vegas action - the best tables, odds, payouts, and where to find free drinks. There’s a whole thread on Las Vegas casinos and poker tables, including the best places to play poker in Las Vegas. Considering that he’s staying at the Imperial Palace, which is sorta divey, he’s going to want to check out some of the big casinos and their gaming action, so that’s helpful stuff to know. Keep your fingers crossed that he’ll come home with a little something left over in his pocket, and I’m not talking about a free book of matches from the hotel lobby!

Yeah, the IP is a little divey, but one of the funniest ones on the strip! We always start our evenings there ;)
