Actually, I’ve already been to Utah, but I’d like to go back. My first experience with Utah was as a little girl. My sister had a set of books about The Great Brain, which eventually got handed down to me. The author grew up in Utah in the late 1800’s, and wrote about his childhood experiences. When I got a bit older, I met Kim, and lo and behold, she lives in Utah. I finally got to go visit her a few years back when her oldest daughter got married. Kim took me to see the sights of Salt Lake City. We went up into the mountains to a beautiful spa at a ski resort, I went to “This Is The Place” and bought some doo-dads to take back to the kids, I saw the Tabernacle, and I learned all about how the SLC streets are numbed, and I still don’t know how to find anything. And the lake – it’s huge by the way. And salty.

Estelle.tv has some awesome videos of Utah, most of things I’ll have to see on a return trip, like Zion National Park, which is absolutely beautiful. Within Zion is Emerald Pool, a family hiking area. (That’s my speed!) And if you’re going to do any hiking, you should learn about Zion Hiking Safety. Zion is in a desert, it’s hot, and there’s no water. Bring your own! The rock is steep and you need to be aware of your footing, no matter where you’re walking. And I did say there was no water, but if it rained, there could be a flash flood. Not to fear, most of the Zion Hiking Trails are safe and many are accessible for strollers and wheelchairs. Some paths are even paved.

If you do make it to Zion, be sure to check out the Zion Weeping Rock – it’s the most visited trail in the whole park. At the end you’ll find a cool alcove with water, and you can see a lot of the famous Zion landmarks. Lastly, check out Checkerboard Mesa. It’s a huge sandstone formation with grooves making it look like a checkerboard!

Don’t forget about all of the other destinations at Estelle.Tv, and check out their huge collection of video podcasts about all the destinations she’s been too. I find that watching the podcasts is pretty easy on the eyes considering that Estelle is such a hottie :-) My husband doesn’t mind either. Now if I could only convince him to TAKE me to some of these places – I guess he’s not interested unless Estelle is actually going to be there in person for a meet n’ greet, and that’s not very likely…LOL!
