Yeah, I know, fall isn’t officially starting til the end of the month, but I swear, I feel it in the air! Every year, around this time, I start telling Jim I can feel fall in the air. And every year, around this time, he laughs at me. But THIS year, he actually kinda sorta agreed with me that it has been less humid out, so it feels cooler. It’s only 85 out right now. EIGHTY-FIVE PEOPLE! Unheard of for this time of year in Florida. I can’t wait for it to really cool down so we can turn the a/c off and open the windows up! Part of the cooler weather is due to us moving a whole county north, and father away from the water. I know from watching the weather at our old house last year, that in our new town, it’s normally a whole 10 degrees colder in the evening and overnight than where we lived previously. This area regularly freezes overnight in the winter. And by “freeze”, I mean, don’t live your dogs water bowl out overnight, because it will freeze. But you’re not going to be ice skating on a pond or anything.

I was feeling all “fall-ish” after the cool temperatures in Denver, so I hung up my little scarecrow guy on the front door, only I couldn’t find the wreath hanger (no doubt packed with the Christmas items) so I tried to use tape. He fell down within hours, so today I bought some of those Command adhesive hooks to try instead.

Eek – I just checked the weather and we’re due to get rain every day for the rest of the week. There goes my cool weather and lack of humidity! And it just started raining. Boo!
